Biography
Azra is a Senior Consultant in Pangolin Associates’ Climate Impact team, based in Melbourne. She specialises in greenhouse gas assessments, carbon accounting, emissions reduction strategy, Climate Active certification, and sustainability advisory. Her work focuses on helping organisations understand their operational and reporting boundaries, improve data quality, and build credible, practical pathways to emissions reduction.
Azra brings a strong education-driven approach to her consulting. She is known for translating complex climate and emissions concepts into clear, accessible guidance that builds internal capability. By supporting clients to understand their emissions sources, reporting obligations, and decision-making levers, she empowers teams to take confident, informed climate action.
She holds a Master of Environment and Sustainability from Monash University, a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Deakin University, and a Diploma of Conservation and Land Management from RMIT. Azra has also completed professional training in Environmental Management Systems Auditing (ISO 14001:2015), B Corps Fundamentals, Social Return on Investment, and is certified through the BSI Training Academy as a Lead GHG Verifier and Validator, strengthening her expertise in emissions boundary setting, verification processes, and assurance of greenhouse gas reporting.
Beyond her consulting work, Azra is committed to community-based environmental education. She volunteers with People for Nature, supporting programs that strengthen environmental literacy and connection to nature among young people and local communities.
Azra combines technical expertise, clear communication, and a passion for climate education, helping organisations understand their impact and take meaningful steps towards a low-carbon future.
