Biography

Clare supports organisations in developing strategic approaches to ESG, sustainability and net zero performance. Drawing on extensive experience across the corporate, higher education and government sectors, she helps organisations navigate complex sustainability challenges and embed sustainability into governance, strategy and decision-making processes.

Clare brings a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development. She spent 13 years at the University of Melbourne, where she served as Associate Director, Sustainability. In this role, she provided strategic leadership for sustainability governance across the institution and oversaw the development and implementation of the university’s first organisation-wide sustainability framework. She also played an active role in state, national and international higher education sustainability networks through board and committee participation.

Prior to joining Pangolin Associates, Clare provided sustainability advisory services to Architectus, supporting the implementation of the firm's Sustainability and Resilience in Design framework. Her work included advising on project bids, sustainability strategy and environmental compliance initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Clare spent 17 years in a range of business roles with BP Australia, developing broad commercial and operational experience within the energy sector.

Clare holds a Master of Environmental Science from Monash University, a Graduate Certificate in University Management from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Psychological Studies, and a Bachelor of Business from Deakin University.
