What is a Carbon Credit?
A carbon credit represents one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂-e) that has either been avoided, reduced, or removed from the atmosphere through a verified project. Carbon credits can be used to compensate for residual emissions that cannot yet be eliminated, supporting broader decarbonisation and net zero strategies.
Carbon Offsetting
Carbon offsetting is a voluntary mechanism that enables organisations and individuals to compensate for residual greenhouse gas emissions by purchasing and retiring carbon credits. Offsetting should be considered after emissions have been measured and all practical reduction opportunities have been implemented. Once purchased, credits are retired on a recognised registry, ensuring they cannot be used again and that the associated emissions reduction is claimed only once.
How to Purchase Carbon Credits
We source high-quality carbon credits from projects certified under recognised standards, including Verra's Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Gold Standard. Projects span a range of technologies and methodologies, including forest conservation, renewable energy, fuel switching, and nature-based solutions. We support organisations in selecting projects aligned with their sustainability objectives and retire all credits on behalf of the purchaser.

Transparency and Carbon Credit Registries
All carbon credits are purchased and retired through recognised registries, including Verra and Gold Standard, providing a transparent and auditable record of each transaction. We publicly attribute carbon credit retirements wherever possible, allowing organisations to demonstrate their contribution to verified emissions reduction projects. Each retirement includes supporting documentation, with clients also receiving a certificate detailing their offset activity.
